On behalf ofthe CPC Hubei Provincial Committeeand theHubeiprovincialpeople’sgovernment, Guan welcomed the guests and expressed appreciation to friends from various sectors for their long-standing support for Hubei’s development.


Guan said Hubei boasts rich cultural heritage, abundant scientific and educational resources, a solid industrial foundation, strategic transportation advantages and a favorable ecological environment.Itplays an important role in national strategies including the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and theRise ofCentral China.


Guan said Hubei will continue to expand high-standard opening up, actively participate in high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and deepen exchanges and cooperation with countries around the world in trade, science and education, and people-to-people exchanges. He expressed hope that the guests would use the visit as an opportunity to encourage more international partners to visit Hubei, pursue cooperation and share development opportunities.


Parakhat Durdyev,ambassador of Turkmenistan to China and head of the delegation, spoke spoke highly of Hubei’s economic and social development. He said the delegation would help deepen mutual understanding and promote cooperation between Hubei and relevant countries.


Ambassadors and senior diplomats from 27 countries and international organizations, including Comoros, Bulgaria, Argentina, the United Kingdom, Spain and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Secretariat, attended the meeting.
