On June 21, Wang Yanling, Executive Vice Chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the Hubei Provincial People’s Congress, met with a delegation led by Hakob Arshakyan, Vice President of the National Assembly of Armenia. They had in-depth discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation.
Wang Yanling warmly welcomed the Armenian delegation and provided a brief introduction of Hubei’s economic and social development, the work of the Hubei Provincial People’s Congress, and the practice of whole-process people’s democracy in the province. She underscored Hubei’s strategic role and strengths in science and education, industries, and ecological conservation.
Wang noted that Armenia is an active supporter and participant in the Belt and Road Initiative, and that there is a solid foundation and broad prospects for exchanges and cooperation between Hubei and Armenia. She expressed hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to further strengthen friendly relations, open up more channels for exchanges, deepen business cooperation, and forge closer people-to-people bonds. The Hubei Provincial People’s Congress is ready to deepen ties with its counterparts in Armenia and facilitate the sharing of governance experiences.
Hakob Arshakyan expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and commended Hubei’s remarkable economic and social achievements. He advocated for strengthened friendly exchanges and expanded cooperation in air logistics, industrial investment, and cultural tourism to the benefit of both peoples.
