Zhang underscored the significance of this year, which marks the confluence of the 60th anniversary of China-France diplomatic ties, the Franco-Chinese Year of Cultural Tourism, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, and the 10th anniversary of Sino-French Wuhan Ecological Demonstration City. Zhang highlighted the fruitful collaboration between Hubei and France. With an eye to the future, Hubei, as a stellar example of bilateral exchanges, will further promote pragmatic cooperation through initiatives like the “Hubei-France Exchange Season” and other business and cultural engagements.

Jean-Yves Roux, the French Consul-General in Wuhan, reviewed the history of China-France diplomatic relations in his remarks, citing the high-level mutual visits in 2023. He hoped that in 2024, both sides could keep up the positive momentum and engage more people, especially young people, in bilateral exchanges.
Officials and representatives from Wuhan FAO, Caidian District of Wuhan City, the Sino-French Wuhan Ecological Demonstration City Administration Committee, and other relevant organizations, attended the event.
