1.长江和长江最大的支流汉水在武汉交汇。两条河的颜色不一样，如果乘轮渡就可以看到江面上有清晰的界限。

The Yangtze River and its largest tributary the Han River meet in Wuhan. The two rivers are different colors. If you take a ferry on the Yangtze River, you can see a clear dividing line at the confluence.

2.毛主席很喜欢武汉，东湖宾馆是毛主席在建国后除北京中南海之外，居住次数最多、时间最长的地方。  

Chairman Mao was a lover of Wuhan. Apart from Zhongnanhai in Beijing, the East Lake Hotel was where he stayed most frequently and for the longest periods of time after the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

3.毛主席也非常喜欢游泳，曾在这里多次横渡长江。现在每年七月份，武汉还会举办渡江节，纪念毛主席在1966年73岁高龄时最后一次横渡长江。   

Chairman Mao loved swimming. He swam across the Yangtze River in Wuhan many times. The city holds the Yangtze River Crossing Festival on July 16 every year to mark the day when he last swam across the river in 1966 at the age of 73.

4.武汉的东湖，面积有33平方公里，有五个西湖那么大，东湖也很美，只是名声没有西湖大。 

The East Lake has a water area of 33 km2. It is five times as large as the West Lake. Though not as famous, the East Lake is very beautiful.

5.2016年12月份开通的东湖绿道，全长100公里，是武汉居民休闲娱乐的好去处。  

The East Lake Greenway was opened to the public in December 2016. Stretching more than 100 km, it is a perfect place for leisure and recreation.

6.居民可以在绿道慢跑、骑行，那里还有热气球和水上乐园等项目。    

Visitors can jog or cycle on the Greenway. They can also take hot air balloon rides or play in the water park.

7.武汉最著名的景点是黄鹤楼，是中国四大名楼之一，在古代，有很多诗人登上黄鹤楼吟诗作对。   

The Yellow Crane Tower is a landmark in Wuhan. It is one of the Four Great Towers of China. Poets in ancient China loved visiting this place and wrote many poems there.

8.白天登上黄鹤楼可以俯瞰武汉三镇，晚上可以看到灯光秀。If you go up the Yellow Crane Tower in the day, you’ll get a bird’s-eye view of the “three towns of Wuhan”. At night, light shows are performed on the tower.

9.湖北省博物馆很值得一去，里面的镇馆之宝是曾侯乙编钟和越王勾践剑，都是两千多年前的青铜器。

Hubei Provincial Museum is a must-visit attraction. The highlights of the collections include the chime-bells from the Tomb of Marquis Yi of the Zeng State and the sword of Goujian, the king of Yue. The two are bronze works from more than 2,000 years ago.

10.知音号游轮上有民国风沉浸式表演，你可以在甲板上一边喝酒一边欣赏长江沿岸的灯光秀。  

The Zhiyin cruise (Zhi Yin Hao) offers a rare immersive show on the Yangtze River. The performance will take you back to the Wuhan of the 1920s to 1930s. You can grab a drink and enjoy the light show on the river banks.
